QR codes are everywhere — menus, business cards, packaging, and marketing materials. Creating one is free and takes less than a minute.
Types of QR Codes You Can Create
- URL QR Code: links to any website or page. The most common use case.
- WiFi QR Code: lets guests connect to WiFi by scanning — no typing passwords.
- Contact Card (vCard): shares your full contact information; scan to save to phone contacts.
- Email QR Code: opens an email app with a pre-filled address.
- Phone Number: opens the dialer with the number pre-filled.
- Plain Text: any text message up to a few hundred characters.

QR Code Best Practices
- Error correction level: use "H" (30%) when adding a logo, and "M" (15%) for standard QR codes.
- Minimum size: print at least 2cm x 2cm (0.8 inches). Smaller QR codes may not scan reliably.
- Contrast: dark on light works best. Avoid low-contrast color combinations.
- Testing: always test your QR code before printing, with multiple phone models.
